New World has opened its second hotel in Manila, Philippines.

The hotel was operating as the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Casino Manila until 1 January 2015.

The New World Manila Bay Hotel is located in the heart of Manila and offers easy access to businesses and shopping areas such as the Mall of Asia - the largest shopping mall in Metro Manila - as well as well-preserved historical attractions such as Intramuros, Chinatown and the Cultural Centre of the Philippines.

The city’s domestic and international airports are less than 30 minutes’ drive away and the port terminal is 10 minutes from the hotel.

New World Manila Bay Hotel features 376 guestrooms and suites with Residence Club executive floors and lounge.

Six dining options include Market Cafe; the Cantonese restaurant Li Li offering five private rooms for eight to 16 people with a wine cellar and a tea bar; The Fireplace steakhouse featuring an open kitchen and a wood-fired oven; The Lounge, Pool Bar and The Pastry Boutique.

Meeting and event space includes a 630-square-meter (approximately 6,700-square-foot) ballroom accommodating up to 700 guests for cocktail parties and four venues for business meetings and a range of social and corporate events.

Recreational facilities include an outdoor 25-meter lap pool, a fitness center and The Club Oasis Spa offering 10 treatment rooms. The hotel is part of a complex including a 150,000-square-foot casino.

“We are delighted to join New World Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of deluxe properties and expand the reach of its modern Oriental hospitality in the Philippines’ capital,” said Mark Heywood, general manager of New World Manila Bay Hotel.

A renovation program for New World Manila Bay Hotel guestrooms and public spaces is planned, but the company has not yet released any details.
