The Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai has promoted Fredrik Blomqvist from the position of Hotel Manager to General Manager.

A native of Sweden, Fredrik joined Four Seasons as Food and Beverage Director at the former Four Seasons Hotel Dublin in 2006, from where he quickly earned a promotion to Hotel Manager at the former Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

After two years in Pennsylvania, Fredrik's spirit of wanderlust took him to China to join the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou. The extended pre-opening in Guangzhou allowed Fredrik the opportunity to take on two temporary assignments as acting Resort Manager in Chiang Mai and again acting Hotel Manager in Jakarta. Since February 2012, he has been the Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai.

Fredrik said, “In the past 13 years, Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai has committed itself to bringing excellent Four Seasons service and attention to detail to all its guests. We have just presented our newly decorated guest rooms this June, and by October, the hotel will have renovated all the banqueting facilities on both the 3rd and 5th floors. With all of the positive news and further plans, we will continue to transform and improve the guest experience while enhancing our competitiveness in this growing market.”
