Dr. John Fong Elected as Vice President of EuroCHRIE

Dr. John Fong has been elected as Vice President of EuroCHRIE (European Council on Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Education).

Dr. Fong is currently the Director of Business Development and Consulting at Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM), one of the world’s leading hospitality business management schools. He is also an Associate Professor of Marketing at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, a published author, an academic reviewer for journals and textbooks and a sought after speaker; having conducted numerous seminars in Asia, Australia, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

Dr. Fong will become President of EuroCHRIE in 2016 and then Immediate Past President in 2017.

Dr. Fong said, “I consider it a privilege to serve on the EuroCHRIE Board and I am committed to working with hospitality and tourism educators and professionals to help shape the future of our industry.”

EuroCHRIE is the peak academic body that represents almost 200 member institutions from more than 60 countries in Europe, the Mediterranean Basin and Africa. EuroCHRIE is a Federation of International CHRIE, a leading international organisation that supports education and training for the hospitality and tourism industry. Founded in 1946, CHRIE brings together educators from hospitality and tourism management schools and universities into a global network in close co-operation with industry representatives.
