Ayana Resort and Spa Bali has promoted Clive Edwards to General Manager.

Clive will oversee the continued evolution of Ayana Resort and Spa Bali – an integrated resort, which also includes The Villas at Ayana Resort and Rimba Jimbaran Bali by Ayana.

Clive has over 15 years experience in luxury hospitality. After starting his career in his native Jamaica, he joined Ayana in 2009 as Director of Rooms, Executive Assistant Manager. He was appointed Acting General Manager in 2012, through to the opening of Rimba in November 2013. That year, he was appointed Corporate Director of Rooms Operations for Capella Hotel Group based in Atlanta, Georgia, before returning to Bali in 2014 as interim General Manager of Ayana and Rimba.

Clive said 2015 will be a big year for the resort as it builds on the successes following Rimba’s opening. “I am honored to be appointed to lead such an amazing team, I truly believe we have the best people on the island with the passion, innovation and experience to set the bar even higher,” he said.

Ayana Resort and Spa is located on 90 hectares of cliff-top gardens above Jimbaran, on Bali’s ‘sunset’ coast. Just 20 minutes’ drive from Bali’s airport and minutes from art galleries, local markets and fashion boutiques, Jimbaran is home to many of the island’s most exclusive resorts yet retains the traditional ambience of a Balinese fishing village.

Ayana features extensive on-site facilities with 15 restaurants and bars including priority access to the famous sunsets at Rock Bar;11 swimming pools; private beach; Thermes Marins Bali Spa and thalassotherapy center; 2 Kids’ Clubs; golf-putting and tennis; and 2 fitness centers.
