Anantara Vacation Club has promoted Melanie Smith to the position of Vice President of Club Operations.

The promotion follows Melanie’s role as Group Director of Club Operations, which she’s held for the past year and a half.

In her new role, Melanie is responsible for all aspects of the company’s Club operations. She handles the regional multi-property management of all club inventory, and simultaneously oversees the Owner Servicing Call Centre that serves Anantara Vacation Club’s 5,000+ owners.

Melanie has more than 30 years of experience in the service and hospitality industry, ranging from roles at remote luxury resorts to casino properties.

Her tenure at Anantara Vacation Club dates back to 2011, when she started as General Manager of Anantara Bangkok Sathorn, followed shortly thereafter by Director of Resort Operations and Club Services at Anantara Vacation Club.

Prior to that, Melanie’s notable background included positions at Langham Hotels International in Hong Kong and Thailand, InterContinental Hotels Group, Mayne Health, The Star, SkyCity Entertainment Group, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“We are thrilled to announce Melanie’s much-deserved promotion at Anantara Vacation Club,” said Martin Tolan, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Anantara Vacation Club. “Melanie possesses extraordinary creativity, financial acumen, and human resource skills, which in harmony enables her to wear many hats. She’s a huge asset to the team.”
