Dorsett Putrajaya Appoints HRM and DOS

Dorsett Putrajaya, scheduled to open in Q4 2015, has appointed Norhayati Binti Muhammad Yusoff as Director of Sales and Asmawi Ahmad Zabidi as Human Resources Manager.

Norhayati, or Yatie as she is more commonly known, will be responsible for all aspects of Dorsett Putrajaya’s pre-opening sales and marketing strategies, short and long term planning and preparation of the marketing, sales plans, programs, annual budgeting as well as driving results for the hotel.

Yatie began her hospitality career in 1990 and has worked her way through various divisions from front office to reservation before embarking on a sales role with Holiday Villa in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

Prior to her current appointment, Yatie was the Director of Sales with The Royale Bintang Kuala Lumpur. She has also worked in other hotels in Malaysia such as Palace of The Golden Horses, Impiana KLCC & Spa and Sheraton Hotel in Penang.

Asmawi Ahmad Zabidi has been appointed as Human Resources Manager.

A graduate of University Teknologi Mara majoring in Human Resource Management, Asmawi in his newly appointed role will be in charge of the overall recruitment of the property and day-to-day management of the staff’s welfare, implementation of human resources policies and procedures as well as all strategic management of all human resources matters.

With more than 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, Asmawi has previously worked with Hyatt Regency Kuantan, Tanjung Jara Resort, Casa del Rio Melaka, InterContinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Impiana KLCC.
