Hotel Icon in Hong Kong has implemented Duetto’s revenue strategy solutions, bringing new insights on pricing and demand to the property.

Hotel Icon is a teaching and research hotel owned by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Utilizing new consumer-centric data and a sophisticated pricing engine, Duetto provides hotels and casinos the tools they need to better manage distribution complexity and drive guest loyalty and profits.

“The five-star hotel market in Asia is becoming increasingly competitive, with a crowded field of international brands and pricing pressures from outside the industry. As an independent hotel, we need to work twice as hard and at twice the speed to optimize our revenue and fully understand our evolving customer base,” said Richard Hatter, General Manager of Hotel Icon. “As a teaching hotel, we’re very excited to partner with Duetto to develop a culture based around the new discipline of Revenue Strategy, which promises to increase profit, performance, and ultimately, our guests’ hotel experience - as we maximize the value of our hotels’ best assets.”

Opened in 2011 for the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hotel Icon’s mission is to train and develop the next generation of elite hotel managers. Through exposure to best practice, students gain a first-hand insight into the commercial realities in hospitality.

Duetto opened its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore in the fourth quarter of last year.
