Oakwood Signs Property in Singapore

Oakwood has signed a management contract with Newfort Realty to open the first Oakwood-branded property in Singapore in November 2016.

The property, located in the prime Orchard district, will be part of the new Oakwood Studios brand.

Oakwood Studios Singapore will offer 98 residences - ranging from studio units to 2-bedroom apartments, a Residents’ Lounge, a gym and a rooftop swimming pool.

“I cannot describe how truly delighted we are to open our first Oakwood-branded serviced apartment property in Singapore,” said Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd. “Singapore is an important destination in both the business and leisure travel sectors and we have seen a marked surge in demand for serviced apartments in the city, as clients recognize the value of the home-like environment such accommodation provide, their cost effectiveness and flexibility.”

As with all other Oakwood properties, Oakwood Studios Singapore will provide move-in ready furnished accommodation to meet the needs of leisure and business travellers alike.

Large room space, a fully-equipped kitchen complete with kitchenware, cutlery and washer/dryer will provide clients with a home-like environment and the flexibility to set their own schedule and enjoy day-to-day activities in a comfortable environment.

The property will enjoy a prime location on No. 18 Mount Elizabeth, just off Orchard Road, one of Singapore’s main attractions, surrounded by myriad shopping, entertainment and sightseeing options.
