Korean Air Inks Sponsorship Extension with Russia's State Hermitage Museum

Korean Air and the State Hermitage Museum in Russia hosted a sponsorship extension ceremony at the Museum’s Hermitage State Assembly Hall on 20 March.

Present at the ceremony were Mr. Sung Hoi Song, Regional Director for Korean Air’s CIS region, and Mr. Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum.

The sponsorship deal is an extension to the existing 2009 agreement between the two parties striving to improve visitor experience.

Through the 6-year sponsorship extension, Korean Air will support operation of the museum such as production of guide maps and posters for special exhibitions and audio guides will continue to be available in Korean language for self-guided Korean visitors.

The State Hermitage Museum is one of the largest and most renowned museums in the world, with over 2.9 million exhibition items including ‘Madonna Litta’ attributed to Leonard da Vinci, ‘Woman Holding a Fruit’ by Paul Gauguin and masterpieces by Renoir, Monet and Van Gogh.

Korean Air partners many of the world’s most prestigious museums, including the British Museums, Louvre Museum and Musee D’Orsay.
