Anantara Vacation Club has appointed Manuel Garcia as Vice President of Sales and promoted David Davis as Vice President of Call Centers, Gary Lewis as Regional Director of Marketing for Voyager, and Scott Bender as Director of Owner Enhancement and Special Projects.

In his new role, Manuel Garcia oversees all sales operations for Anantara Vacation Club. Often referred to fondly as “Manny”, his rich career profile of nearly 15 years includes impressive achievements in sales, marketing, branding, leadership, new business and customer service. Most recently, Manny worked independently as an entrepreneur, supporting business leaders in realizing their vision and achieving goals through implementation of important strategies, programs and processes. Previously, Manny held key positions for nearly a decade at Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida, a Starwood property.

David Davis has taken the reins of call centre operations for the company, while simultaneously handling marketing efforts at Anantara Vacation Club Sanya in China. David joined the Anantara Vacation Club team nearly four years ago where he excelled as Area Director of Marketing. Prior to that, he worked for both Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Vacation Ownership divisions. A sales and marketing guru for 20 years, Davis has a fervent understanding of the vacation ownership industry, and has gained a wealth of experience in all facets of business from his past roles in diverse markets throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

With his promotion, Gary Lewis handles all regional marketing initiatives for the Voyager program. At his most recent position with Anantara Vacation Club for nearly two years, Lewis strengthened Voyager to a multimillion dollar program that continues to grow every day. He successfully built a foundation for the future of the business and has excelled at implementing and managing what is, and will continue to be, a key channel to support the company. Prior to Anantara Vacation Club, Gary worked in the exit program in Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Vacation Ownership sector, and practiced law at Colling Gilbert Wright and Carter.

Scott Bender is now charged with overseeing the Owner Enhancement and Special Projects teams, where he’ll curate and organize owner events. Scott joined Anantara Vacation Club in March 2014 as a sales manager on the Owner Enhancement team, and was quickly promoted to Senior Sales Manager. Since that time, he has ensured that the division consistently achieves its monthly budgeted revenue targets, a testament to his guidance and leadership. Prior to joining Anantara Vacation Club, Scott worked in various sales positions for more than 10 years with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and other properties in the Northwest region of the U.S..

“We are thrilled to announce these new well-deserved leadership roles at Anantara Vacation Club,” said Martin Tolan, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Anantara Vacation Club. “David, Gary and Scott have demonstrated commitment and passion throughout their time with Anantara Vacation Club, and I look forward to their continued contributions to our bright collective future. Manny is a most welcome addition to our team, and brings an extraordinary level of business acumen and professionalism. We are lucky to have him on board.”
