Silversea to Cruise Between Hong Kong and Singapore

Silversea Cruises has confirmed that it will sail the South China Sea between Hong Kong and Singapore later this year.

Silver Shadow will embark on three southbound voyages to Singapore on 18 October, 22 November and 12 December.

Departing 22 November and 12 December, the 9-day “Vietnam In-Depth” voyages, visit the limestone islands and floating villages of UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay in the north; continuing to ‘China Beach’ and the World Heritage port of Hoi An at Danang in central Vietnam; and to the coastal resort city of Nha Trang in the south, convenient for visiting Vietnam's largest city Ho Chi Minh city, formerly Saigon.

Departing 18 October, the 11-day “Beaches and Cities” voyage also extends to Bangkok and Thailand’s popular holiday island of Koh Samui.

If you prefer to start in Singapore, alternative voyages to Hong Kong sail on 10 November and 1 December 2015.

The 12-day “Philippines and Malaysia” itinerary hops up the island of Borneo to Kota Kinabalu and Brunei, crossing to Philippines, through Bohol, Boracay, Coron and Manila.

The 11-day “Vietnam and Thailand” itinerary returns to Hong Kong via Thailand, visiting Bangkok and Koh Samui, then back up through Vietnam.

With a passenger-to-crew ratio of 1.3 to 1, Silversea is one of the most exclusive and acclaimed cruise lines in Asia.

The line is especially renowned for formal and informal fine dining, all-inclusive with the exception of vintage wines, along with a cigar bar, Champagne bar, with fitness / recreation facilities including a gym, sauna, spa and beauty salon, golf driving range, outdoor shuffleboard and jogging track. Entertainment extends from a show lounge with international acts to lectures, a card room and casino.

Flexible itineraries also allow a choice of port of embarkation and disembarkation and length of cruise, with a minimum of five days, meaning guests can opt to fly home from Hong Kong-Singapore trips in Vietnam.

“No creature comfort is denied, including butler service and the option of 24-hour in-suite dining, along with the intimacy and friendly camaraderie that only small, boutique luxury liners can offer,” said Karen Christensen, Silversea's General Manager & Director of Sales/Marketing, Australasia.
