The Emirates Group has made the following two appointments to its senior management team.

Saeed Mohammed has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Flight Catering. He will be succeeded by Yousuf Mohammad Ali, who has been appointed as Senior Vice President Procurement & Logistics for Emirates Airline and Group Services.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said, “Saeed and Yousuf both have track records of success within the organization and their promotions are not only well-deserved, but speak to our ongoing efforts to develop and inspire Emirati talent. Their experience, knowledge of the industry, and ability to deliver superior results make them ideal leaders. I am confident that in their new roles, they will continue to support the growth of the various Emirates Group businesses and drive operational excellence.”

Saeed Mohammed, who has been appointed as CEO of Emirates Flight Catering, joined the company in 2001 as General Manager of Aircraft Procurement. At the time, he played an active role in the expansion programme for the procurement of both aircraft and engines. His potential was quickly recognised and he was promoted to head the Procurement & Logistics department for Emirates Airline and Group Services as Senior Vice President. Mr Mohammed, who is now responsible for all business functions at Emirates Flight Catering - the world’s largest flight catering facility, was Divisional Senior Vice President for Procurement & Logistics where he led a team of over 130 procurement specialists before his promotion. Saeed Mohammed was the first Arab national to be awarded a fellowship at the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and the first Arab on its board.

Yousuf Mohammad Ali, the new Senior Vice President Procurement & Logistics for Emirates Airline and Group Services, joined the company in 2011 as Vice President Procurement & Logistics taking on the responsibility for its non-aircraft services for the Emirates Group. Yousuf was responsible for planning and implementing the group wide strategy for best practices in Procurement and Logistics methods to maintain Emirates’ leadership in the industry. Mr. Ali has over 16 years of experience in the field of asset management and previously held key positions with the Majid Al Futtaim Group as well as Emaar Properties in Dubai. He was also the first UAE national to hold international accreditation as a Certified Shopping Centre Manager (CSCM).
