ALE, operating under the brand Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, is targeting Asia with the creation of a global travel, hospitality and leisure solution business unit.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions are currently found in more than two million hotel rooms and on more than 100 large cruise ships equipped to offer a personalized connected experience for guests, including Accor Hotels, the Beverly Hotel and Hotel Bel Air, Melia Hotels Spain, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Norweign Cruise Line, among others.

The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Hospitality portfolio delivers on three key areas to benefit the business: solutions creating a memorable guest experience, reducing infrastructure costs and improving hotel operations.

The portfolio includes adapted communications and networking solutions for hospitality delivered via the cloud or on-premise. The following are the latest applications available to deliver a personalized connected guest experience:

The Mobile Guest Softphone: A mobility solution specifically designed for the hospitality industry, enabling guests to use their own mobile devices to access hotel services.

The Smart Guest Application Suite: Enabling guests to control the in-room environment using the room phone to adjust lighting and temperature, access hotel services, set a wake-up call, set do not disturb room status, and more.

"The hospitality market requires a technology company that can deliver powerful solutions which create a personalized connected experience for guests, while also providing positive tangible business outcomes to the bottom line. Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions address this need with robust communications solutions adapted to the hospitality requirements as well as leading networking solutions," said Derrick Lee, VP Global Accounts & Hospitality, APAC. "By listening to our customers, we have produced unique solutions that allow hotels and cruise lines around the world to offer a fully connected guest and employee experience, with controlled infrastructure costs and improved operations. And of course, it is fully integrated with the hospitality eco-system. Our strong reference list shows that we have made a real difference in this market and brought real solutions to our customers."
