Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Sunday, 21 June 2015

[HD video below] Exclusive HD video interview with CEO of Terrapuri Resorts in Terengganu, Malaysia, Mr. Alex Lee Yun Ping.

In this video, filmed in Terengganu on 4 June 2015, we discuss tourism to Terengganu, what Mr. Lee Yun Ping feels needs to be done to increase the international visitor arrivals numbers and whether the government is doing enough to attract international hotel chains to the State.

We also discuss aviation, and whether enough is being done in that sector to attract more airlines to fly in directly from international / regional bases.

Mr. Lee Yun Ping is very well positioned to offer his expert commentary as not only is he the CEO one of the few luxury resorts in Terengganu, but also the CEO of a leading inbound tour operator in Terengganu - Ping Anchorage.

Although it does have expansion plans, Terrapuri Resorts only has one hotel open at the moment. That hotel is a very special property which is made up of numerous palaces. In this interview we discuss the location of the hotel, why people should stay there rather than on Redang Island or elsewhere in Terengganu, which markets are staying at the hotel at the moment and where Terrapuri's focus will be for the remainder of 2015 and in 2016 as well.

You will learn more about the palaces, where they come from, why they are so special and what the average length of stay is. We also talk about what there is to do in and around the resort, whether the hotel can serve alcohol to guests (many in Terengganu cannot), and much, much more.
