Wanda Opens Reign Hotel in Chengdu, China

Wanda Hotels & Resorts has expanded its portfolio of hotels in China with the official opening of the Wanda Reign Chengdu.

The Wanda Reign Chengdu enjoys a prime central location in the city’s business district, right where South Renmin Road meets the Jinjiang River. The city’s golden commercial district also bears historical significance as the starting point of the Southern Silk Road.

The hotel’s Sky Lobby is located on the 41st floor offering guests a bird’s eye view of the city.

The hotel comprises 240 rooms and suites each offering guests a professional massage chair, interactive TV, iPad room control system, smart lighting, an intelligent sensor-controlled bathroom and complimentary 1,000MB wireless internet access as well as a “Bed of Reign” featuring Talalay latex mattresses handmade in the USA and dressed in New Zealand wool bedding. The bed is matched with the hotel’s signature “Dream Catcher” services, which offer amenities such as aromatherapy, soothing music and bedtime reading materials to help guests achieve a blissful night’s sleep.

Guests on the executive floor are offered personal care amenities from Hermès.

The hotel’s restaurants offer guests a wide range of culinary choices. Zhen Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor, serves refined Cantonese and local Sichuan cuisine. On the 41st floor, “Café Reign” is the highest restaurant in Chengdu, and offers all-day dining with views of the city skyline and the Jin River. Perched on the hotel’s highest floor, the Lobby Lounge serves a Western-style silver chocolate afternoon tea in the sky, as well as premium local Shu wine and sommelier-recommended fine wines accompanied by smooth live music.

The Shui Spa features three private treatment suites along with sauna and steam rooms, a jacuzzi, massage rooms and a card room.

For private parties or corporate functions, a grand ballroom and six private function rooms can be found on the hotel’s 3rd floor.
