Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa Opens Giant Water Slide

Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa has opened a giant water slide in the centre of the resort just in time for the peak end of year holiday season.

The 12-metre high water slide takes pride of place in the middle of the lagoon pool at the resort and is accompanied by a second tier slide at 7.5 metres tall for younger children.

There are also four other smaller slides in the dedicated kid's only pool for even younger children.

The 12-metre slide features a series of half open tubes for guests to shoot through, and is suitable for eight year olds and over, whereas the smaller 7.5 metre slide is designed for six years olds and up.

The slide is open daily for guests of the resort from between 10.00 and 18.00 every day with trained water safety experts on hand at all times.

"Families love to have fun. They love to be together, laugh together and above all spendtime together on holiday and this is our main focus," said Phuket Orchid Resort & Spa General Manager, Philip Raiss. "The family market is growing very fast in Phuket and we are absolutely delighted to offer major new activities for them to enjoy. What better way to do this than enhance our pool areas which have been so popular over the years with a giant selection of slides - for all the family to enjoy."

To celebrate the opening of the slide, the resort is offering guests who stay for five consecutive nights with a free dinner, and for those that stay for nine consecutive nights with one extra night for free. Terms and conditions apply.
