Xiamen Airlines Expands GSA Partnership with APG

Xiamen Airlines has appointed APG as General Sales Agent in Portugal, Turkey, UAE, Vietnam and will be providing full sales and marketing services as well as call centre facilities.

The deal is in addition to APG's IET agreement with the airline and current GSA agreement in 10 countries.

Xiamen Airlines, the 5th largest carrier in China, is the only Chinese carrier featuring an all-Boeing fleet - 114 aircraft with a total of 18,824 seats, and an average airplane service age of 5.48 years.

The SkyTeam member operates more than 220 domestic routes, and almost 30 international and regional routes, and flies more than 3,200 flights each week.

With bases in Xiamen, Fuzhou and Hangzhou, Xiamen Airlines flight network covers major cities in China and extends to Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries.

With total assets exceeding RMB 35 billion and net assets of RMB 13 billion, Xiamen Airlines is the only Chinese civil airline that has maintained profitability for 28 consecutive years.

The airline will introduce its first route into Europe, the airline's first ever long haul flight, on 26 July 2015 and will operate its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner three times a week between Xiamen and Amsterdam during the summer season and twice a week during winter season. The B787 is configured in a three class arrangement with 4 First Class, 18 Business Class and 215 Economy seats.
