Assa Abloy Integrates Zaplox into Mobile Access Solution for Hotels

Assa Abloy has integrated Zaplox into its mobile access solution for hotels and serviced apartments.

The integration allows any property with RFID-ready locks installed to easily implement mobile access functionality for their guests, while experiencing the operational benefits that Zaplox Mobile Key Services provide.

Through this new technology integration, hotel guests will be able to use their smartphone as a mobile key for guestroom access, as well as take part in additional offerings provided in the Zaplox Mobile Key Services app. This wide range of ancillary services, which can be made available in the app, includes mobile check-in and check-out, room upgrades, direct bookings, special offers and more.

The Assa Abloy Hospitality Mobile Access Certified Partnership Program was established to allow third-party mobile application and solutions providers like Zaplox to integrate mobile access functionality into their existing mobile-based solutions for hoteliers. Using the combined solutions, hotels benefit from cost efficiencies through streamlined operations and revenue opportunities, allowing front desk staff to focus on other aspects of guest service and communication.

Magnus Friberg, Zaplox' CEO, said, "This is a strategic and important collaboration for Zaplox, since it provides the opportunity for all hotels using, or intending to use, Assa Abloy Hospitality locking systems, to upgrade their mobile solutions and integrate guestroom access at their properties. Through efficient check-in and a smarter service offering, hotels can differentiate themselves and enhance the guest experience by making it smooth and comfortable."

Assa Abloy Hospitality (formerly VingCard Elsafe) has locks installed in over 7 million hotel rooms worldwide.
