Avis Car Rental Opens Branch in Melaka, Malaysia

Avis Car Rental has expanded its network in Malaysia with the opening of a new car rental branch in Melaka.

The new facility, located at the Holiday Inn Melaka, Jalan Syed Abdul Aziz, Malacca, brings the total number of Avis locations in Malaysia to eight stations.

"One of our key strategic initiatives is to grow and expand our footprint, extending our offering where there is customer demand," said Larry De Shon , president, International, Avis Budget Group. "Malaysia is one of the major tourism countries in Southeast Asia, with a rapidly growing requirement for car rental, making it the perfect place to introduce our trusted and established brand."

The new location offers late-model vehicles such as the economy-size Toyota Passo, the compact Honda City, the full-size Toyota Camry and the Nissan X-Trail sports utility vehicle.

Avis also offers renters Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation devices, child safety seats and fuel service options.
