The U Ariya Thimphu, which is scheduled to open in H1 2015, enjoys a prime location in Thimphu the capital city of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

The hotel, currently in an advanced stage of development, will feature 46 rooms consisting of 22 Superior rooms, 6 Deluxe rooms, 16 One bedroom suites and 2 Two-bedroom apartments.

Other facilities will include two restaurants, one lounge/bar, a gym, U Spa, a library and fully equipped function rooms of 230 sqm.

Absolute Hotel Services India Managing Director, Sameer Dhakar, said, “We are delighted to add another U Hotel to our brand portfolio in such a unique setting as well as serving the increasingly high demand in hotel accommodation for travelers to Bhutan.”

Perched high in the Himalayas, Bhutan is the world’s last remaining Buddhist Kingdom. It has developed the philosophy of gross national happiness; where development is measured using a holistic approach of well-being, not just based on gross domestic product.
