Preferred Adds Four Hotels to Portfolio

Preferred Hotels & Resorts has added the following four properties in Asia to its portfolio, including its first Legend collection hotels in Bali and Shanghai:

Opening in Spring 2016, the first Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection property in Bali, Katamama features 58 suites. Amenities at this intimate luxury hotel include an in-house gym, private pool and pool deck, the Akademi ‘Centre of Mixology’ created by award-winning mixologist Dre Masso, and a specialty restaurant featuring Spanish cuisine. Katamama is located on Petitenget Beach in Seminyak - the upscale area in tropical South Bali, known for its beaches, world-class nightlife, shopping and local attractions – next to the award-winning Potato Head Beach Club.

Scheduled to open in late 2016, the first Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection property in Shanghai, Wanda Reign on the Bund is the flagship hotel of Wanda Hotels & Resorts. Designed by globally acclaimed Foster & Partners, the hotel features an art deco influence that integrates architecture styles of different cultures with the classical art forms of Shanghai, including significant details such as the city’s flower - the Magnolia, in its design. Upon its debut, Wanda Reign on the Bund will offer 193 rooms, including 14 suites and a 288 square-meter Chairman Suite with unobstructed views of The Bund, Huangpu River, and Pudong Skyline. Each room will be equipped with wireless control dashboards, valet service boxes, and exclusive Hermes or L’Occitane amenities, as well as amenities such as five food and beverage experiences that will include MARC, a French fine-dining restaurant by 2-star Michelin chef Marc Meneau.

klapsons The River Residences Bangkok offers 77 serviced and private residences situated on more than 23 floors directly above the Chao Praya River. Designed by William Sawaya of Sawaya & Moroni, the property invites guests to enjoy picturesque riverside views and dedicated services such as a private pier with ferry shuttle to the nearest rail station.

Once a thriving colonial tin mining hub in the 1930s, the city of Ipoh has evolved into one of Asia’s up-and-coming must-see destinations for both business and leisure travelers and is home to Weil Hotel, a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Lifestyle Collection. Adjoining the Ipoh Parade Shopping Centre, the hotel has 313 guestrooms and amenities include six distinctive dining experiences and a rooftop infinity pool and bar.

Travelers who stay at these four new properties can enjoy additional benefits by enrolling in the iPrefer guest loyalty program, which extends points redeemable for free nights and other expenditures, elite status, and special benefits such as complimentary internet upon every eligible stay at more than 550 participating properties worldwide.
