Best Western Signs Vib Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar

Best Western has unveiled to launch its new boutique lifestyle brand, Vīb, in Myanmar (formerly Burma).

Scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2018, the new-build Vīb Yangon will feature 110 rooms with conveniently placed universal power outlets and USB ports, and “Smart” flat-screen televisions.

The hotel will also feature mobile check-in services, a “grab and go” snack station as well as a fitness center. Complimentary WI-Fi, a Best Western standard, will be available throughout the hotel.

“At Best Western we understand that today’s independently-minded guests demand a high degree of convenience and connectivity. That’s why we developed Vīb - an ultra-modern hotel concept that focuses on the needs of millennial travelers,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations - Asia. “I am delighted to be able to announce the first Vīb hotel in Myanmar, located in the fast-growing city of Yangon. It is incredibly fitting that we are launching this exciting new hotel concept in one of the world’s most exciting and dynamic destinations.”

In 2013, Best Western became one of the first global hotel companies to open in Myanmar, following the country’s re-emergence onto the international stage. It has since expanded to a portfolio of three operating hotels, located in Yangon and Mandalay, with several more in the pipeline.
