Following the completion of a S$4.7 million renovation in March 2015, Parkroyal on Beach Road has launched 130 newly refurbished Premier rooms, a new Executive Suite and revitalised Orchid Club Lounge.

"After the launch of The Ballrooms, our purpose-built standalone event facility, and dedicated Wellness Floor in August 2013, this latest refurbishment will enhance the comfort and sophistication of our guestrooms and club lounge. We are confident that these upgrading efforts will strengthen the hotel’s competitive positioning within the Marina Bay vicinity as a choice accommodation for both business and leisure guests,” said David Donald, General Manager of Parkroyal on Beach Road.

Comprising a third of the hotel's guestroom inventory, the 130 Premier Rooms and corridors on levels two and three now feature modernised designs in soothing tones for a nature-inspired touch. Every room comes with large windows that overlook the neighbourhood, while the raised ceiling height of three metres creates additional spaciousness.

All rooms are equipped with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and a 40-inch LED flat screen television. Other thoughtful technological integration for guests working with multiple devices includes the installation of two desktop power points and one data socket at the work desk. Bed-top level power points are also installed at the bed stands for the ease of access and charging while guests are at rest.

As part of the refurbishment, the hotel will now also offer an Executive Suite spanning 104 square metres. Decorated and furnished in soft tones and harmonious colours similar to the Premier rooms, the Suite features expansive living and dining areas, and the privacy of a separate bedroom. A pair of modern crystal overhead chandeliers brings an additional touch of luxury.

The bedroom houses a stylish canopy bed flanked by tinted mirror panels. A generous open concept bathroom is equipped with a luxurious freestanding bathtub, a separate glass-enclosed shower and a spacious walk-in wardrobe. A well-equipped ergonomic work desk connects the living and dining areas. Brightly lit with natural daylight, the living room features a spacious sitting area with a lounging couch and two coffee tables, and a 46-inch LED flat screen television. With an elegant round table that comfortably sits four persons, the dining room can be conveniently transformed into an ad-hoc meeting space, and is well complemented by a powder room and a kitchen with premium appliances.

Located on Level six of the hotel, the Orchid Club Lounge takes in the panoramic views of the Kampong Glam precinct. The expanded Lounge now features a dedicated food and beverage area comprising an open kitchen that serves one specialty dish a day that is cooked à la minute during breakfast and evening cocktail timings, among other dishes. A mix of seating options caters to both group and individual travellers.

Guests in the Orchid Deluxe and Orchid Premier Rooms, and Executive Suite enjoy access to the Orchid Club Lounge with a range of privileges and benefits such as personalised check-in and check-out, complimentary breakfast, light refreshments throughout the day and evening cocktails paired with hors d’oeuvres.
