Philippe Lecluse Appointed GM of U Sapa, Vietnam

Mr. Philippe Lecluse has been appointed as General Manager of U Sapa Vietnam, the latest property in Absolute Hotel Services’ rapid expansion in the region.

Philippe has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry starting his career at the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris.

His travels have led him to hold senior managerial positions across Asia, Europe and the Middle East including working for Accor, Hyatt and InterContinental. Prior to joining AHS he was Director of Operations at Pullman Saigon Center.

“We are looking forward to having Philippe as part of the U Indochina team as his vast experience working as senior management in some of the world’s most well-known luxury hotel chains will be a complete asset in ensuring that the U brand standards of superlative comfort, facilities and service are met in their entirety,” said Absolute Hotel Services’ Regional Director for Indochina Mr. Mark Heather.

U Sapa Vietnam is a deluxe boutique property located in the serenely beautiful mountain province of Lào Cai. All 57 rooms and suites come equipped with full amenities and facilities as well as U hotel’s unique U Choose programme. The hotel also features an all-day dining restaurant, veranda cafe and bar as well as a gym and library with a luxury spa opening in December 2014. The hotel will open on 1 July 2014.
