Pan Pacific Singapore Appoints Director of Events

Jeffrey Tan has been appointed as Director of Events at Pan Pacific Singapore, overseeing MICE, Group Rooms, Catering Sales as well as Banquet Operations and Event Services for the hotel.

With a Sin$80-million hotel renovation completed in 2013, 790 rooms and suites at Pan Pacific Singapore have been transformed.

One of the key changes is the relocation of the hotels premier 24-hour Pacific Club to level 38 featuring stunning 360 views of the city and Marina Bay.

The hotels Grand Ballroom and meeting facilities totaling almost 2,500 square metres were also made over during the transformation.

Being located in a prime precinct with close proximity to the central business district and Marina Bay Financial Centre and being connected via skybridge to Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, we anticipate increased business opportunities that we are able to leverage on. Being an experienced hotelier, Jeffrey is the right candidate who will be able to help us drive our business even further, said Mr Scott Swank, General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore.

Previously overseeing MICE Sales and Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa. Jeffrey was part of the Pan Pacific sales team from 2006 until 2008 and later, part of the Singapore Sales team in 2009.

A seasoned hotelier with a decade of experience, Jeffreys previous experience included working at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and Marina Bay Sands.

As Director of Events, Jeffrey will spearhead business developments and exploring new opportunities and markets.

In his leisure time, Jeffrey enjoys jogging, swimming and spending time with his three sons.
