Gulf Air Takes on Role as MENA Representative on SITA Council

Bahrains Gulf Air has taken on the post of MENA representative on the SITA Council, with Dr. Jassim Haji, Gulf Airs Director of Information Technology, occupying that seat.

SITA is one of the world's leading specialists in air transport communications and IT solutions and has been offering services for the past 65 years to over 450 members, including airlines, airports and air freight carriers. Gulf Air has been a member for over 40 years.

The SITA Council is composed of 32 members who represent airlines from different regions of the world and other organizations from the air transport industry.

Gulf Airs Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Maher Salman AlMusallam, said, Its an honor for Gulf Air to occupy a seat with the foremost IT and communications representative body for the air transport industry, and I would like to express my deepest gratitude to AACO for nominating Gulf Air and to SITAs members for accepting it. Gulf Air is proud to be given this opportunity to participate in the SITA Council and play a role in representing our region on a global platform. SITA plays a critical role in the aviation industry operations and it is our pleasure to support its endeavors.
