The Regent Porto Montenegro opened its doors on Friday, 1 August 2014.

The 51-room and 35-suite property is the first and only hotel in the Porto Montenegro super-yacht marina resort and is Regent Hotels & Resorts’ second property in Europe and its eighth world-wide.

Inspired by Renaissance Venice, hotel design specialist ReardonSmith Architects incorporated Italian palazzo influences blended with strong nautical and local architectural references into the terracotta-roofed Regent Porto Montenegro.

The interior designer Tino Zervudachi designed the hotel to evoke feeling of being on a luxury ship, a tribute to the hotel`s location in the heart of Porto Montenegro 250-berth super-yacht marina.

The luxury waterfront property offers 51 richly-furnished guest bedrooms and 35 suites and residences. Each room offers views, either of Boka Bay or the majestic mountains of Montenegro.

All dining options offer sea front outdoor terraces and the property boasts one of the largest selection of fine champagnes in the Balkan region.

The 20-metre outdoor pool commands uninterrupted views of the spectacular Boka Bay, described as Europe’s ‘southern-most fjord’.

The Dining Room à la carte menu showcases dishes created with the finest local and seasonal ingredients, inspired with Mediterranean flair, while the Gourmet Corner is a quintessential patisserie and delicatessen offering a sumptuous variety of bakery goods, chocolates and signature pizzas fresh from the oven.

The Library Bar with its centrepiece fire place features an extensive menu of the world’s finest cognacs and whiskies. Here, guests can also enjoy signature afternoon tea and Mediterranean and Asian-inspired tapas at sundown. The open air sea front Italian Garden is surrounded by fountains and landscaped gardens, creating a spectacular location for sunset drinks and special events.

The Regent Spa offers international and Asian-inspired therapies and guests can also enjoy an indoor vitality pool, hammam, sauna, steam room, fully-equipped fitness centre and a juice bar for refreshments.

The hotel is located in the town of Tivat and is easily accessible through Tivat, Dubrovnik and Podgorica International airports. Helicopter transfers are available from Dubrovnik and Podgorica providing breath taking views of the Croatian and Montenegrin coastlines along with a personal arrival experience at the Regent Porto Montenegro private helipad.

General Manager, Michael Posch, said, “Our hotel enables discerning guests from around the world to discover Montenegro in style, complemented by the beauty of Boka Bay. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests to our spectacular property.”
