Ole Rehlaender Appointed GM of Two Unique Hotels in Myanmar

Mr. Ole Rehlaender has been appointed as General Manager of the Emerald Palace Hotel in Nya Pyi Taw and the Residence@26 in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma).

A German national, Mr. Rehlaender graduated from the School for Operational Management in the Hospitality Industry, Dortmund, Germany.

He joins the Emerald Palace Hotel and Residence@26 from his latest position as the General Manger at Amara Ocean Resort on Ngapali Beach in Myanmar where he was on the pre and post opening team. Prior to that he was Resident Manager at the Bayview Beach Resort on Ngapali Beach, Myanmar.

Before his arrival to Myanmar, Mr. Rehlaender worked for several 5 star hotels and restaurants in Germany and Austria including Robinson Select Alpenrose Zürs, Hotel Albona Nova Zürs Am Arlberg and Ben.Venuto St. Anton Am Arlberg in Austria and Walter’s Hof, Hotel Rungholt and La Grande Plage Kampen/Sylt Island in Germany in various Food & Beverage and Front office positions.

Mr. Rehlaender will oversee both the Emerald Palace Hotel in Nya Pyi Taw, opened in August 2013, and the Residence@26 in Yangon, Myanmar where and he will be responsible for its opening, scheduled for March 2014.

Both hotels are members of The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts.
