Bangkok Airways Launches Four New Routes from Chiang Mai, Thailand

Bangkok Airways has launched four new non-stop flights from Chiang Mai to Phuket, Udon Thani and Myanmar (Mandalay and Yangon).

To celebrate the new routes, Bangkok Airways is offering the following special fares: Chiang Mai–Phuket from 2,290 Baht, Chiang Mai-Udon Thani from 1,590 Baht, Chiang Mai-Mandalay from 1,445 Baht. The one-way fares exclude taxes and surcharges. Terms and conditions apply.

Ms. Ariya Prasarttong-Osoth, Vice President – Sales of Bangkok Airways said, “Chiang Mai is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Thailand, attracting a large number of both Thai and foreign tourists. By utilizing Chaing Mai International Airport as another hub, it will allow us to provide better flight connections for our passengers who wish to continue their travel to the Northeastern and Southern part of Thailand as well as to the neighboring country Myanmar without having to fly back to Suvarnabhumi Airport to connect to those destinations.”

Flights between Chiang Mai and Udon Thani will operate twice daily using an ATR72-500 aircraft with a seat capacity of 70. The outbound flight PG240 departs from Chiang Mai at 06.30 and arrives Udon Thani at 07.35. Flight PG246 departs from Chiang Mai at 15.55 and arrives Udon Thani at  17.20. The inbound flight PG249 departs from Udon Thani at 08.25 and arrives Chiang Mai at 09.50 and flight PG245 departs from Udon Thani at 17.55 and arrives Chiang Mai at 21.40.

Flights between Chiang Mai and Phuket will operate daily using an Airbus A320 aircraft with seat capacity of 162. The outbound flight PG248 departs from Chiang Mai at 14.20. and arrives Phuket at 16.25. The inbound flight PG247 departs from Phuket at 11.30 and arrives Chiang Mai at 13.40.

Flights between Chiang Mai and Mandalay will operate three times per week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) using an ATR72-500 aircraft with a seat capacity of 70. The outbound flight PG725 departs from Chiang Mai at 11.00 and arrives Mandalay at 12.05. The inbound flight PG726 departs from Mandalay at 12.50 and arrives Chiang Mai at 14.45.

Flights between Chiang Mai and Yangon will operate four times per week (Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday) using a 70-seat ATR72-500 aircraft. The outbound flight PG723 departs from Chiang Mai at 11.00 and arrives Yangon at 11.55. The inbound flight PG724 departs from Yangon at 12.50. and arrives Chiang Mai at 14.45.
