Baymont Inn & Suites, part of Wyndham Hotel Group, has opened its 350th hotel, a new construction, 71–room property in Odessa, Texas.

The Baymont Inn & Suites Odessa is the most recent of several new construction prototypical Baymont Inn & Suites properties that have opened in the last 12 months, including new hotels in Erie, Pennsylvania; San Angelo, Texas; Bellevue, Iowa; and Rapid City, South Dakota.

The brand, which consisted of 115 hotels when it joined the Wyndham Hotel Group’s portfolio in 2006, has more than tripled in system size thanks to consistent growth into new domestic markets.

“We continue to focus on rapidly growing the Baymont Inn & Suites brand by working with great partners to develop new-construction properties and convert existing high-quality, limited-service hotels,” said Patrick Breen, brand senior vice president, Baymont Inn & Suites. “The momentum has been incredible and the accelerated interest from developers, owners and operators is truly a testament to their belief in the potential of the brand.”

Properties such as those in Odessa, Texas and Erie, Pennsylvania were constructed using the brand’s interior prototype design, which was developed to revitalize the traditional white picket fence and hometown neighborhood brand appeal for today’s traveler.

The properties feature textural stacked stone, rich, dark wood and crisp, white-painted wall paneling that reflect the comfort and welcoming hospitality expected from the Baymont Inn & Suites brand.

Dr. Bruce Thaler, who owns the recently-opened Baymont Inn & Suites Erie, said, “Since opening the hotel, it has outperformed our expectations. Because of our strong partnership with the brand, we have a top-performing hotel and deliver the best possible experience to our guests and communities.”
