JAL Revises Flight Schedules

JAL has revised its flight schedules from the second half of FY2014 in order to strengthen the airline's international network due to expected growth of demand on its North America-Asia routes, and also to improve transit connections to/from the airline's domestic network within Japan.

Tokyo (Narita) - Boston

The departure time from Tokyo (Narita) to Boston will be changed from late morning to evening. As a result, accessibility between cities throughout Asia and Boston (via Narita) will improve as the number of same-day connections will increase from seven cities to fifteen cities.

Tokyo (Narita) - Ho Chi Minh

The flight arrival time at Tokyo (Narita) will be changed from early morning to afternoon. This allows the airline to offer increased connection opportunities to customers, particularly to the U.S. West Coast, within an approximate four hour time period, from JAL's Ho Chi Minh to Tokyo (Narita) flight from currently three cities (Chicago, Boston and New York) to seven cities adding Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, San Diego and Vancouver.

Tokyo (Haneda) - San Francisco

The flight arrival time at Tokyo (Haneda) will be changed to early morning instead of evening. This allows new same-day connections to all JAL domestic routes from Tokyo (Haneda) will be realized. It will also be possible for customers to connect at Haneda to cities throughout Asia. Additionally, the airline has decided to introduce its fully revamped aircraft, the JAL Sky Suite 777(SS7), onto the San Francisco-Haneda route to ensure an even more comfortable inflight experience with improved space.

The flight arrival time at Tokyo (Haneda) will be changed to early morning instead of evening. As a result, new same-day connections to all JAL domestic routes from Tokyo (Haneda) will be realized.

JAL's joint business partner, American Airlines (AA), also has announced a schedule change on its flight from Narita to Los Angeles, which will increase the number of connection opportunities from JL-operated flights arriving at Narita from cities throughout Asia.
