IHG Opens Crowne Plaza Hotel in Barcelona

InterContinental Hotels Group has expanded its portfolio of hotels in Europe with the opening of the Crowne Plaza Barcelona – Fira Center.

The hotel is operating under a franchise agreement with Hotel Fira S.A.U.

The 276-room hotel is located between the famous Plaza de España and Gran Via Avenue; an area with a rich cultural offering and fantastic connections to anywhere in the city. It is in the heart of the shopping and entertainment district, close to the new Las Arenas shopping mall and within easy reach of the many cultural experiences that Barcelona has available, including Catalonia’s National Museum Art (MNAC), the Olympic Stadium/Palau St. Jordi and the harbour. What’s more it is only a short journey from the historic centre where the famous Sagrada Familia can be found.

Guests at Crowne Plaza Barcelona – Fira Center can spend their evening relaxing in Scruples, the Piano Bar which serves a variety of cocktails, sampling the Mediterranean cuisine of the El Mall restaurant or enjoying the varied menu of L’Aria restaurant. L’Aria restaurant also hosts the daily buffet breakfast.

The hotel also boasts 18 meeting rooms which have a capacity from 10 to 1,200 people, executive private areas and a new Club Lounge.

Throughout the hotel all guests will be able to access free WIFI and all rooms have a 55inch Smart TV, a Nespresso machine and either a king bed or two queens. In addition guests can enjoy the sauna, gymnasium and swimming pool at the hotel.
