SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, has integrated flight status notifications with Google Now to offer customers the latest information on their flights.

SilkAir customers who make their bookings through on SilkAir’s website and specify their Gmail address in their booking will be able to view travel information such as their departure terminal, gate, time as well as flight status. This service will also give customers useful information about their respective travel destinations such as the weather and traffic.

Google Now is available on the Google Search App that can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices from the Apple App store and the Google Play Store respectively, and is built-in to Android 4.1+ devices. Users will then have to log into the Google Search App with their Gmail account to activate the Google Now features.

“We are pleased to have taken this step to integrate the bookings made on our website with Google Now. We are confident that this will further enhance the travel experience of our passengers as they are able to receive important travel information conveniently,” said SilkAir Vice President Commercial, Mr Ryan Pua.
