Kempinski Hotels and KSK Group have signed a management agreement for a large-scale luxury development in the heart of Kuala Lumpurs Golden Triangle.

The approximately 260-key Kempinski hotel and the branded Kempinski Residences with 403 units will anchor the 8 Conlay development in the hotel tower, together with up to 1,092 units of 8 Conlay Residences serviced by Kempinski in two adjoining towers, all linked via a central retail podium.

Ground breaking is scheduled to take place early next year, with 2020 the year the project is expected to be complete.

Located on 8 Jalan Conlay in the heart of the Golden Triangle, between the city centre and a few minutes walk from Bukit Bintang shopping district and the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur mall, the development is only a five-minute drive from the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).

The central four-storey retail podium will offer high end boutiques and fine dining restaurants.

Alejandro Bernab, CEO of Kempinski Hotels, said, This unique project marks Kempinskis entry into the important Malaysian market and underlines our commitment to expansion in Southeast Asia. We are excited about bringing the Kempinski brand to Malaysia, and demonstrating the value of five-star luxury services to branded and serviced residences at 8 Conlay.

The hotel and residences will offer facilities such as a spa, a gym, swimming pool and a variety of restaurants and bars complementing the offering of the central podium.

Residences comprising the first residential tower are scheduled to become available for sale from March 2015 onwards, while the sales gallery located on the 8 Conlay site is expected to open in May 2015.
