Hansar Samui has awarded the first two scholarships to local students for their latest CSR program in which students will undergo a comprehensive year-long syllabus consisting of theoretical and practical studies with intensive on the job training.

The first two recipients of the scholarships are Ms Prapasson Juntasoon (K. Tak) and Ms Supatra Pimalai (K. Am).

Classes include English, customer service, finance and management as well as practical job training. Each student will have a one-on-one mentor/coach with a member of the hotels management team.

The scholarships are provided free of charge and Hansar Samui provides uniforms and three meals a day for the students.

Upon graduation in March 2015, the hotel will hold a celebratory ceremony for the students and assist them with finding employment either within Hansar if there are positions available, or elsewhere in other hotels.

The students will be trained in all aspects of the hotel operation including kitchen, front office, housekeeping, administration, food and beverage, spa and back of house.
