Langham has confirmed that it will reopen its Sydney hotel on 2 December 2014, following a $30 million transformation which commenced when the hotel closed its doors in July 2014.

GA Design worked direct from London with luxury building experts ICMG and The Langham Executive Team, to make sure the refurbishment surpassed expectations.

Langham Hospitality Group purchased The Langham, Sydney, previously The Observatory Hotel, in 2012 from Orient Express and rebranded it in the same year. The executive team allocated two years to carefully appraise the Sydney space before confirming redevelopment plans in 2014.

“No expense has been spared in creating this elegant harbourside retreat for our guests,” said The Langham, Sydney General Manager, Ms. Sonia Lefevre. “This is a truly international product, designed to offer Sydney an asset that doesn’t currently exist in terms of opulence, elegance and luxury. The Langham, Sydney hasn’t just undergone a refurbishment. This is a grand transformation.”

Rates start from A$635 per night.
