Fairmont Yangcheng Lake Appoints GM

Mr. Jeff Cheng has been appointed as general manager of the Fairmont Yangcheng Lake.

He was previously the hotel manager at Fairmont Nanjing, which opened in December 2013.

Immediately before joining Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Jeff worked with InterContinental Hotels Group for 11 years. There, he held progressive positions from director of food and beverage, to resident manager in its properties in Beijing, Foshan and Shanghai.

His entry into the hospitality industry was through The Peninsula Hong Kong and thereafter, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

In 1991, he joined The Ritz-Carlton Sydney followed by a stint at the Star City Casino Sydney as executive sous chef.

Later, he made his move to China and has since worked in different cities all over the country.

Jeff holds an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management from East Sydney Tafe, Sydney, Australia.
