The Anantara Veli Resort & Spa in the Maldives has opened new Deluxe Over Water Pool Bungalows.

Bringing the total room count to 67 bungalows across four accommodation types, the most recent addition to the accommodation choice is poised directly above a turquoise lagoon, allowing guests to bask under the sun while soaking up the breathtaking views.

Each Deluxe Over Water Pool Bungalow offers expansive indoor and outdoor personal space with unobstructed ocean panoramas, complete with a plunge pool and a stairway that descends into the glistening lagoon below.

Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto a sundeck with private sun loungers and a seating area to provide guests with multiple choices within their bungalow to enjoy the ultimate romantic escape.

Torsten Richter, Anantara Resorts Cluster General Manager in the Maldives, said, Anantara Veli has long been a classic Maldivian favourite and we are delighted to broaden the resorts appeal to couples seeking romance. Our ten new Deluxe Over Water Pool Bungalows offer personal relaxation areas in a contemporary living space.

Anantara Veli now features 36 Over Water Bungalows, 14 Deluxe Over Water Bungalows and 10 Deluxe Over Water Pool Bungalows. A further seven Deluxe Ocean Pool Bungalows on the island offer the ultimate in privacy with dramatic ocean panoramas, complete with a plunge pool, and each are just a short stroll away along a shaded path to the white sand beach and tranquil lagoon waters.
