Wagtail UK is supplying handlers and explosive detection dogs for security sweeps of the corporate chalet areas at this year’s Farnborough Air Show (14-20 July 2014).

The specialist dog detection company has provided explosive detection dogs alternately at the Farnborough and Paris air shows for the last 8 years.

Wagtail dogs and handlers are trained to the highest standards, and have worked in some of the most hostile environments including Afghanistan and Iraq, where they were involved in the detection of IED’s among other tasks.

In the UK the company provides specialist dogs for the Civil Police, Armed Forces, The UK Border Agency, HMRC and the private security industry.

Internationally it has supplied over 20 dogs and related services to the Middle East, Mainland Europe, Africa, North America and the Far East.

It provides dogs to detect explosives, firearms, drugs, cash, tobacco, live bodies, human remains (cadaver) and also provides search and rescue dogs.

Wagtail also recently opened a new division ‘Conservation Dogs’, where dogs are trained to detect elephant ivory, leopard skin, pangolin scale, bush meat, bats, mice, cheetah scats (faeces), pine marten scats and great crested newts. This is to assist conservation groups in their activities.

Wagtail gained ISO accreditation in June 2010, and today employs 32 permanent staff in the UK and France.
