Emirates Appoints Andrew Bunn as Country Manager - Singapore and Brunei

Emirates Airline has appointed Mr. Andrew Bunn as its new Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei, effective 21 April 2014.

In this role, Mr. Bunn will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the airline’s operations in Singapore and Brunei, including managing Emirates’ commercial strategy and strengthening its brand profile in these markets.

Mr. Bunn joins Emirates from Lufthansa German Airlines, where he most recently held the role of General Manager Hong Kong, South China, Taiwan and Macau since 2011. He joined Lufthansa in the UK in 1997 and in his 17 years at the airline he gained a wealth of experience across the globe, including various markets in Asia.

Mr. Bunn succeeds Mr. Nick Rees who held this role since 2009, and has been promoted to Regional Manager Commercial Operations, Far East & Australasia at Emirates’ headquarters in Dubai.

Mr. Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations East, said, “Singapore is an important destination for Emirates, and our business in this market has grown significantly in the last few years. We are confident that the expertise and experience Andrew brings to this role, having been in the industry for close to two decades, will help him lead our operations in Singapore and Brunei to new heights.”

Mr. Bunn is an UK citizen, and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Westminster in London. He is married with two daughters and is a sports enthusiast and keen runner.
