29-Room Country House Hotel, Restaurant and Tea Plantation in China Targets Small Groups

In the tradition of old French heritage properties, the hotels 29 spacious rooms start at 65 sqm with high ceilings, oversized bathrooms, antique wood floors, and tall windows decorated with white wooden blinds.

The main building and five detached houses circle the hotels private spring water reservoir, with access to all of the hotels facilities within a five minute walk of any room.

Food is also central to the Le Passage Mohkan Shan private escape experience. Executive Head Chef Jackie Chen and his team create fine French and Chinese cuisine from crabs, oysters, lobsters and seafood imported weekly from France, and fruits and vegetables collected daily from the local organic farm.

Each dining menu can be designed for the individual needs of the guests, customizing branding and wording to make it a personal experience.

Le Passage Mohkan Shans dining options include the Fine Dining restaurant, Pool Restaurant, two Pool Pavilions, Wine Cellar and Wine Cellar Dining Room, Lounge Bar and Fireside Salon and The Oriental Banquet Room that can host up to 120 people, plus vast outdoor dining options, making each meal a different experience throughout the stay.

With the booking of the entire hotel, guests also get exclusive access and training in the The French Cooking School at Le Passage Mohkan Shan, with the opportunity to learn more about French and Western cuisine from in-house Foie Gras expert Fabienne La Beyerie. With space for up to 10 people at a time, it is an ideal activity for friends or teambuilding, with courses for beginners to advanced cooks including learning the art of cooking Terrine De Foie Gras and Chocolate Fondants.

Away from the buildings of the hotel and through Le Passage Mohkan Shan 12,000 rose bushes and tea plantation is the nature and mountains of Moganshan with endless possibilities for activities and adventure. Across the hills are numerous trails that are great for outdoor activities, hiking, biking and sledging in the winter snow.

Tea-picking on the hotels working tea plantation in Spring, rose picking and flower arranging from the hotels rose garden, bird watching, a Land Rover off-road experience and golf at the nearby two courses are just some of the activities that Le Passage Mohkan Shan can help organize. At the heart of the hotel is the year-round heated spring water pool for guests to relax and escape either the cold of winter or the heat of summer.

Located 2.5 hours from Shanghai and 1 hour from Hangzhou, Le Passage Mohkan Shan is easily accessible from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao International Airports, as well as Hangzhou and Deqing high-speed train stations.
