InterContinental Hotels Group will this month open the Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via.

Located a few steps from the most modern, vibrant and cosmopolitan strip in the Spanish capital, an area peppered with iconic buildings, fashion brands, film references and nightlife spots, the hotel will be the boutique brand’s second property in Spain, alongside Hotel Indigo Barcelona which opened in 2012.

Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via’s 85 individually designed rooms take inspiration from the history of the local area with unique accents and design features.

Murals are visible throughout the hotel, showcasing well-known sites on Gran Via that reflect its energy and vitality. Furniture and interiors draw on eclectic architectural influences, from Art Deco to Baroque.

Guests of the new hotel can enjoy a signature cocktail on the rooftop terrace, before moving downstairs to the Gastrobar & Restaurant, which serves seasonal Mediterranean cuisine created by renowned chef, Andrea Tumbarello, alongside a diverse wine and cocktail list.

Guests can also expect features such as free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and Nespresso machines in every room.

Rafael Ramirez Calle, General Manager, Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via, said, “Situated right in the heart, Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via offers the perfect setting for exploring this modern, cosmopolitan city. Engrossed in our local history and charm, the uniquely designed hotel captures the voice and distinctive personality of modern Madrid. We look forward to welcoming guests to the Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via to show them what our beautiful city is all about!”

Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via will operate under a franchise agreement with Luis Alvarez Dominguez Angel Alvare.
