AirAsia has launched a “Fly and Drive with AirAsia” service in Thailand.

The new service allows travelers to compare the price and availability of rental cars, from large trucks to small sedans, at over 1,000 companies.

The service is available on domestic as well as international routes, with special deals starting at 869 THB per day.

Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said, “Fly and Drive with AirAsia makes renting cars for travel easy. Travelers need only log on to our website to compare models and the prices of rental cars from over 1,000 leading companies. The prices you see on the site are what you actually pay. You can rent a car while booking an air ticket or use the site solely to rent a car. This will definitely be an enticing option for everyone.”

To celebrate the launch, promotional prices starting from 869 THB per day are available until 31 October 2014 for car rentals until the end of 2014.

The “Fly and Drive with AirAsia” service is as simple as logging on to the AirAsia website, selecting the “Rental Car” menu and selecting the city name or airport where the car will be needed as well as the date and time for pick up and drop off, then browsing cars from the companies to compare models and prices before filling out payment details and receiving a confirmation by E-mail that can be used to pick up the rental car at the counter of the destination airport.
