Belmond Safaris Botswana Appoints Karin van Zyl as GM

Belmond Safaris in Botswana has appointed Karin van Zyl as General Manager.

Karin is no stranger to Belmond, as she has previously worked for La Residence D’Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and at the Ubud Hanging Gardens in Bali.

Prior to joining Belmond, Karin worked in a small luxury resort in Fiji and in Belize, Central America.

Karin studied Occupational Therapy before moving into hospitality, and her interpersonal skills have proved indispensable in the people-oriented business of hospitality.

“It is all about the people, developing them from within and creating one team working towards one common and well-defined goal. I love working with different cultures, although I think we all ultimately want pretty much the same things from life,” Karin said.

During her downtime, Karin enjoys running, scuba diving and is also passionate about photography.
