Hilton has signed a management contract with PT. Sharandy Land for a third Waldorf Astoria hotel in Indonesia.

Scheduled to open in 2018, the 100-key Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will be the fourth Waldorf Astoria property in Southeast Asia following the planned openings of Waldorf Astoria properties in Bangkok, Bukit Pandawa-Bali and Jakarta.

Situated along the famous Ayung River, the longest waterway on Bali Island, Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will be located in the lush surrounds of Sayan, a small Balinese village in Ubud.

The luxury resort will offer an exclusive address, approximately five kilometers from central Ubud, the cultural and artistic capital of Bali, and 31.4 kilometers away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport.

“The introduction of Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud is a landmark addition to our wider Indonesian pipeline of hotel projects spanning five of our brands,” said Andrew Clough, senior vice president, development, Middle East & Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide. “This new resort will further enhance our development efforts by expanding Hilton Worldwide’s luxury segment to Southeast Asia. We are very pleased to be working with the caliber of partner like PT. Sharandy Land to bring to reality an unforgettable luxury resort experience.”

Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will span eight hectares and offer 100 suites and villas. Set on the slopes of a terraced rice paddy, all suites and villas will offer views of the verdant greenery and Ayung River. Guests will be able to select from a choice of villas which range from one-bedroom to five-bedroom, each well-appointed with a private pool.

Waldorf Astoria Bali, Ubud will feature two restaurants and a destination bar. The resort will also offer a range of exclusive events facilities with three meetings and events rooms, a wedding chapel, outdoor event lawn, and a business center. An outdoor pool as well as a health club and spa will complete the leisure facilities.
