Garuda Indonesia and Myanmar Airways to Codeshare

Garuda Indonesia and Myanmar Airways International have signed a codeshare agreement.

Under the agreement, Garuda Indonesia will place its GA marketing code on Myanmar Airways International’s flights between Bangkok – Yangon and Singapore – Yangon.

In turn, Myanmar Airways International will place its 8M marketing code on Garuda Indonesia’s operations between Jakarta – Bangkok and Jakarta – Singapore.

Myanmar Airways International Managing Director Si Thu, said, “Indonesia is an increasingly important market to Myanmar with around 55,000 people currently travelling between the two countries for both business and leisure. We are glad that our passengers will be offered a wider choice of destinations as well as greater flexibility and convenience when traveling between Yangon and major cities in Indonesia with this new code-share service.”

The codeshare flights are pending final government approvals.
