Ritz-Carlton Bangalore Appoints Hugo Montanari as Director of Operations

Hugo Montanari has been appointed as Director of Operations of The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore.

In this role, Mr. Montanari will have the responsibility of the operations of the entire hotel which also includes driving operational excellence, new initiatives and ensuring implementation and execution of brand programs.

Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, Mr. Montanari worked at The Plaza Hotel, New York and The Fairmont Dubai where he received several industry awards.

He started his career as an intern at the Restaurant Des Trois Tours, (1* Michelin, 17 points Gault–Millaut) in Switzerland.

A French-Italian native, Mr. Montanari is a graduate from Lausanne (Switzerland), Hotel Management School in 2006.

He is a passionate athlete and has participated in several sporting events to raise money for community services in New York, London, Bangladesh and India.

Mr. Montanari has lived in Papua New Guinea, Somalia, Bangladesh, India, Serbia, Georgia, England, Switzerland, Dubai and New York.

He is fluent in English, Italian and French.

EAM

Nilesh Singh has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) of Food & Beverage at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore.

In this role, Mr. Singh is fully responsible for the management and successful operations of all food and beverage venues in the hotel.

A hotel management graduate from Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai, Mr. Singh comes with a rich experience of 13 years with Oberoi Hotels where he worked with many of their finest restaurants.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore is a 277-room, five-star luxury hotel, which will offer restaurants, extensive meeting and flexible events space, The Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA, an outdoor swimming pool and high-end retail boutique.

In addition to the guest rooms and suites, the hotel will include The Ritz-Carlton Club, a private floor accessible only by elevator key, offering complimentary 24-hour Food and Beverage service and a dedicated concierge.

The hotel is scheduled to open  2013.
