Denis Ilin Appointed Executive President of AirBridgeCargo Airlines

Denis Ilin has been appointed as Executive President of AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), one of Russia’s largest international scheduled cargo airlines.

Ilin, who took up his new post on 1 August 2013, has worked for several years as Head of Aviation for Basic Element, the Russian financial and industrial group, where his main responsibilities included aviation business development.

He previously held several leadership roles in Volga Dnepr Group, including Manager of Volga Dnepr UK (United Kingdom), General Director of AirBridgeCargo, Strategic Management Advisor to ABC’s General Director, and Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Sales, and has made a significant contribution to the establishment of Volga Dnepr Group’s scheduled cargo business.

Denis Ilin’s new responsibilities will be to further increase ABC’s quality and effectiveness, and to centralise business management.

Commenting on his new appointment, Denis Ilin said: “Despite the challenging market conditions facing all airlines, I see a very strong and positive future for AirBridgeCargo Airlines. The airline has an excellent team of professionals and good growth potential. My job will be to maximise what we can achieve with the airline’s resources and to build a prosperous future for ABC based on our long-term, successful relationship with customers and their loyalty.”
