The Shilla, one of South Koreas premier hotel brands, has opened the 29-storey Shilla Stay Dongtan hotel in the heart of Dongtan, approximately one hours drive south of the South Korean capital, Seoul.

The Shilla Stay Dongtan rises above the new Dongtan business and industrial district, a thriving centre for IT businesses and the home base for Samsung. It features 286 guestrooms with either park or city views.

The rooms offer top-quality bedding and high-speed Wi-Fi internet access free of charge to all guests.

The Cafe on the seventh floor serves a variety of international cuisines championing fresh, seasonal ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A 40-seat private room is available for traditional family gatherings or private events.

The Lounge & Bar is an ideal spot to relax and socialise over a glass of wine or coffee, while a warming open fireplace in the lobby sets the welcoming tone, and the refreshingly minimalist design features a relaxing colour palette of charcoal, fawn and cream.

The hotel also offers a selection of meeting rooms for conferences and corporate events, a complimentary business corner equipped with computers and a communal meeting table, plus a well-equipped fitness centre.

Hotel Shilla owns and operates two The Shilla hotels, in Seoul and Jeju, and manages two others in Geoje, South Koreas second biggest island, and beside Jinji Lake in China.

The company plans to open 7~8 new Shilla Stay hotels by 2015, with upcoming openings scheduled for city centre locations in Seoul, as well as several key cities throughout South Korea.
