M&C Appoints Franz Zeller as Senior Vice President - Asia

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels (M&C) has appointed Mr Franz Zeller as Senior Vice President, Asia.

Mr Zeller is a familiar face to many within the M&C group of companies, as he was Senior Vice President, Operations for Asia Pacific and Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel’s first General Manager from 1999 to 2001. After which, he took on the role as Senior Vice President, Middle East and North Africa, Millennium Hotels & Resorts.

With more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he has lived and worked in some of the world’s most competitive markets, including Singapore, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, New York, Montreal, New Delhi, Brisbane, Perth and Vancouver.

Most recently, he was Managing Director of Archipelago Hotels & Resorts, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Taj Luxury Hotels.

He was awarded Outstanding Hotelier of the Year, New York, USA in 1995.

Mr Zeller will report to Mr Wong Hong Ren, Group Chief Executive Officer of M&C.
